Psalm 85

"For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you!" Psalm 85: 10-12

This past weekend I ended up going to my parents house to use their turbo tax, and it happened to be the missions conference. Which I'm sure everyone who actually reads this went to. But I was very glad to go. Rev. Price was good to listen to, though I think his microphone was unnecessary. I left with a headache from sitting in the front row.

Luke and I have prayed and talked about missions- long and short term. But believe that where we are now is our mission field. We want to stay open to what God might bring us in terms of moving somewhere else for ministry, but at the same time, we don't want to pick up and leave when we're suppose to stay. I think of Paul who wanted to go to Asia, but the Spirit kept saying no. he had good intentions, like sharing the news of Christ, but it wasn't where he was suppose to go. Or David wanting to build God's temple. I'm not comparing us with Paul's missionary journey or David, but knowing there are some things that we may like to do, but maybe we're not suppose to. At least not now.

Well, this month is full for us. The Woods are coming this weekend, Luke is in a wedding this weekend or next, the Allen's are coming the weekend after that. And Laura, you are welcome to come that week after,(23-27). But I do work Mon. and Tues. of that week. Just let me know what you guys want to do.

That's all for now, God bless

We were glad to see you too! Sorry if Rylie talked your ear off! :) We don't require any special foods (well Ryan might want a Pepsi, but he doesn't need it! :)), thank you for hosting us! We are looking forward to it!

Rach,

When God lays something on your heart, you will not be able to think of anything else and you will find divine energy to get it accomplished. This is even more true as a couple who desire to serve the Lord. I think there are some who should be going but stay, but there are also some who go who should have stayed. Missions is more about location of your heart than your location of your feet. Good to have you up with us for a few days -- we'll try to arrange an opportunity to come your way when you have a free weekend.
