After a long week we went into a long weekend and are starting a brand new long week. But at least we're staying busy and aren't bored. Luke helped out at a wedding this weekend, which stretched him a lot. They asked for things he didn't know, so he had to hurry up and learn things. He also had to finger pick for 1/2 hr before the wedding, and then be limber enough to do the songs for the ceremony. So his hands were pretty numb by the end of it.
We also had Ryan stay with us for Sunday night. Amy and the girls were too sick to make it, which was a bummer. But Luke and I had a lot of fun. He was our first non-family guest. He'll have to let us know how we rated. Right now it's been snowing on and off and hailing. It's snowing pretty hard, but none of it's sticking, so that's good. I just hope Ryan got home safely, we sent him on the back roads home because it was faster.
Our church is in the middle of a teen program of basic Bible teaching. And Luke will be teaching this Saturday on spiritual gifts. Which is probably a fun topic to teach since a lot of people feel differently about it. But it sounds like he has a pretty good outline made up. I think he's just nervous, he hasn't taught like this for about 3 years. So, if you think of it, remember him in your prayers this Saturday, I know he'll appreciate it.
Also, I read today that our President has increased the funding for stem cell research by a lot. Which I guess people feel differently about this as well, but please keep him in your prayers. I can imagine running a nation has difficult choices, I pray that he is seeking God's guidance on his decisions.
God bless

We were so sad we couldn't come! :( Believe me you don't want these germs though! Thanks for having Ryan!
So, here's what we were thinking: Next Sunday (the 22nd) Rachel and I will go down to Portland, pick up Charissa, and then drive up to your place. Would it be alright if we spent that Sunday night with you? And then I'm assuming that we'll spend that next Monday with you, if you're free, and then drive Charissa back to Portland, so she can work on Tuesday.
Now, this is just a rough idea of what we'd all tossed around. You know all of us...never being able to make a decision, and kind of flying by the seat of our pants. Haha. If this works for you, that'll be great, but I do know how schedules can be! I'll call you later this week to iron out some details, after I talk to Charissa and Rachel, that is. Haha.
